Many homeowners experience flood damage - in fact, flooding is one of the leading reasons for insurance claims for homeowners. Internal flooding claims are usually caused by faulty washing machines, water heaters, dishwashers, toilets and plumbing in general. Any one of these failures can result in hundreds of litres of water pouring through your home daily. Even a small leak can cause major damage to floors, furniture and electronics.

Your insurance policy may cover a portion of the expense but nothing can compensate for irreplaceable personal items and the emotional loss that can result. You may even incur higher insurance premiums if you have made previous claims.

How it works

Sensors are placed throughout the property where flooding has the potential to occur.

The sensors are easily installed near your washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, bathroom, sinks and your water heater.

Sensors are connected to a control panel that monitors the sensors. The sensors are hard wired to the control panel.

The valve will shut off the main water supply in the event of a leak when it receives a shut off command from the control panel.

Once the leak has been corrected, simply press the Reset button and the water supply is restored.
